Biography

My name is BriAnn Ongesel. I am a Graphic Design student at Brigham Young University Idaho. I have enjoyed learning art and especially enjoy design, drawing, and photograhy. These different art studies are all displayed in my portfolio. I really like to see all of the different forms that beauty can be displayed in. They each have their own voice and something interesting about them. I have been privileged to study a field that is an interest to me. The knowledge I have learned in school is a starting point of a lifetime of learning that will continue as I strive to create art throughout my life.

I grew up in Idaho and Utah, but call Idaho my home. In my family there are six kids of which I am the oldest. My parents and siblings are really supportive of me and I enjoy spending time with them. As a kid I really liked to read and draw. In high school I got really into accounting, Business Professionals of America, art, and clogging. College was a welcome change and I found out more about what I liked and what my strengths and weaknesses are. It has been a good experience and I will never regret it.

I ended up doing one semester of school in BYU Hawaii, where I met my husband Michael. We were married April 25, 2009. Now we are expecting our first baby in August and will be in Rexburg for at least two more years when Michael finishes his degree. Life is good and I am glad I am where I am today - except that I wish it was warmer.
